Finally another faerie door!
I wanted a crisp, white, shiney otherworldly door but didn't know what else to do with it. So I just sat down , made the white door and waited for inspiration... And then I made pretty red swirley roses
And then...the trouble started... My mom had given me an old bottle of matt varnish to use for my clay. I used it on this door, originally wanting to give it a matt finish. However, the varnish was a bit too old and left white chalky spots on my pretty door!
I tried to scrape them off and by doing so, snapped off one of the tiny rose stalks. After that I put it aside for a while, sure that I had wrecked it... My mom came with the idea that I could use nailpolish remover to try and remove the white chalky spots like that. That worked!
So I carefully placed the small stalk back and gave it a high shine varnish... And there we are
I'm just glad I was able to save the cutesy door!
Materials: Metal jewelry findings and chain, organza ribbon, polymer clay (fimo soft)
Since it has been broken (and mended again) I'm not offering it for sale on DaWanda. However, if you really want this door, send me a note and we can work something out
